Villepinte (France), October 8, 2018 – Guerbet, the global specialist in contrast media and solutions for diagnostic and interventional medical imaging, will be taking part in the national 2018 JFR event dedicated to radiology from October 12 to 15 at the Palais des Congrès in Paris. The group will present its comprehensive ranges of CT/CathLab and MRI contrast agents, injectors, disposables and digital services, as well as its innovative solutions for interventional imaging.

Several diagnostic and interventional radiology demonstrations will be organized throughout the congress by Guerbet’s experts, allowing visitors to discover how FlowSens® – an injector developed for administering contrast media and saline in CT medical imaging – works as well as the innovative range of microcatheters for embolization procedures on vascular tumors or aneurysms1

Guerbet will also be present at the Interventional Radiology Village where it will give demonstrations of Vectorio®, an innovative mix and injection medical device that standardizes conventional transarterial chemoembolization (cTACE), a further demonstration of the company’s interventional imaging commitment and expertise.

Furthermore, Guerbet will be organizing a symposium on Friday, October 12, from 12:30 to 13:30 entitled: “Embolization: a simple and effective practice”.

The Journées Francophones de Radiologie (JFR) event is an ideal opportunity for sharing information about the latest technological and scientific advances in medical imaging. Each year, practicing professionals discover the recent technical developments and discuss their applications. It is an annual congress that covers clinical research in addition to fundamental and industrial research. This year, the focus will be placed on “fair imaging” for a targeted and personalized treatment. The JFR congress has an increasingly international reach, and 2018 will prove no exception.

The last event attracted over 12,400 participants from 70 different countries, for 187 educational conferences, 137 workshops/hands-on demonstrations and 373 e-posters.
