An improved ranking, illustrative of the Group’s ambitious CSR policy
Villepinte (France), October 29, 2019 – Guerbet (FR0000032526 GBT), a global specialist incontrast agents and solutions for medical imaging, has announced its continued presence inthe 2019 Gaïa Index, the socially responsible investing (SRI) stock market index for mid-capstocks that distinguishes French stocks according to their corporate social responsibility (CSR) performance.
Guerbet is positioned 14th in this year’s ranking of 230 SMEs and mid-cap companies, up 20 places compared to last year, and 12th out of 85 in the category of companies generating over 500 million euros of revenue, up 13 places. These two rankings, which are significantly betterthan last year, reflect the maturity of Guerbet’s environmental, social and governance (ESG)policy and the efforts the company has undertaken in this area.
The Gaïa Index is the benchmark sustainable development index for listed French mid-caps.Gaïa Rating, the ESG rating agency of EthiFinance, has conducted an annual data collectioncampaign since 2009 covering most of the listed SMEs in France. Companies are rated fortheir transparency and performance based on this information. Ratings are assigned accordingto 163 criteria (economic, governance, human capital, environmental and stakeholders) andare used by leading management companies in their management processes and investmentdecisions. Every year since its inception, this index has outperformed the CAC 40 and the CACMid & Small.

environmental impacts at all levels - Business ethics to promote the fight against corruption, prevention of conflicts of
interest and anti-competitive practices as well as respect for the medical code of ethics.

In terms of governance, Guerbet has substantially improved its position in the field of businessethics and CSR policy, receiving support at the highest level. The performance of itsgovernance bodies remains one of Guerbet’s great strengths.Regarding stakeholders, the actions taken by Guerbet to improve its responsible purchasingpolicy were also recognized in the rating.With respect to labor policy, the indicators for work conditions, health & safety and skillsdevelopment have significantly increased.Concerning the environment, Guerbet’s policy and performance with regard to resourcemanagement and waste control have produced good results. Guerbet has also obtained theCAHPP green index A quality rating this year, a label attesting to its maturity on sustainabledevelopment issues.
